The Socialist International expresses its firm support and solidarity with the people of Yemen and with its member party, the Yemeni Socialist Party. We call for renewed efforts to bring a just and lasting peace to the country on the basis of restoring the legitimacy of the state and the political process, ending the militia rebellion, and engaging in the reconstruction and economic recovery of the country. It is imperative that all parties involved in the war, both internal and external, respect Yemen’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
